In 1961, a special edition Morris Minor was created to commemorate One Million Morris Minors being built. 350 of these cars were made, all painted lilac with white interior with black piping. Only 30 models were made left hand drive. This one is number 1,000,339.
We bought this Minor from its original owner. He bought it from Motor Sales in Winnipeg in 1961. He made us promise that we would not change the colour. We were approached to sell it along with its restoration, to a Winnipegger who appreciated it and it’s lilac color.
“Millie” is complete and left the shop in April of 2013. Watch for her on the streets of Winnipeg.
UPDATE: 2015 – Millie came back for a bit of maintenance and a brand new interior.
