The Mercedes Benz 300 Cabriolet D was manufactured between 1952 and 1956. Less than 600 were made.
We searched the world for parts and did a lot of research in order to keep the car historically correct.
Our biggest hurdle was the convertible top. This top had a headliner, inner liner filled with curled horse hair and the outer layer. Much of the work involved hand sewing and making patterns from the scraps of the old top.
